Properties
Sunjel™ Premium is an all
natural gelled alcohol made from corn and because of its
natural properties, is classified as “Ethanol” Alcohol. Only
‘Ethanol’ alcohol products qualify for Environment Canada’s
stringent certification process.
Sunjel™ Premium is a
renewable resource and is smokeless and odourless and burns
into water vapour. Each Sunjel™ fire will burn from 2 to 3
hours, depending on the humidity level of a home.
Sunjel™ Premium will
produce up to 6000 BTUs of heat per hour when used in an
Sunjel™ Fireplace and up to 9000 BTUs/hr. when used in a
Sunjel™ Log & Grate Insert for existing wood burning
fireplaces.
Sunjel™ Premium produces
99% heat efficiency based on its ability to be burned
indoors without an exterior vent or chimney.
Each case of Sunjel™
Premium will provide a minimum output of 24 – 3000 BTU/hr.
offering up to 60 hours of burn time per case.

Operation and Use
Sunjel™
Premium is easy to use. Simply pour 13oz. or 384ml. of gel
into the containers provided with your Sunjel™ Fireplace.
Light the Sunjel™ Premium with a long match or barbeque
lighter. The fire will reach full height and crackle in just
under five minutes. To extinguish the flame, use the
convenient manual shut-off that comes standard with every
Sunjel™ Fireplace. Sunjel™ Premium is an alcohol product so
it can be safely stored indoors at room temperature.
Sunjel™ Premium vs. Other Alcohol Gels
Sunjel™
Premium is an Ethanol Alcohol Gel certified by Environment
Canada to carry the EcoLogo. Many alcohol gels on the North
American marketplace today are Isopropyl based. Isopropyl
alcohol is a man-made synthetic alcohol and does not qualify
for certification by Environment Canada. This puts Sunjel™
Premium in a class all its own. If the label on the Alcohol
Gel container does not carry the EcoLogo, or does not show
‘Ethanol’ in review of its contents, then chances are it is
not certified by Environment Canada for air quality
assurance.
